All-in-One Device for DALI, Matter, and More
The Atios SmartCore is the ultimate all-in-one device for modern apartments that should come Matter-ready. Designed for real estate developers, professional integrators, and smart home enthusiasts, Atios SmartCore instantly turns conventional Lighting, Shading, HVAC, and Door Access into an app-controlled Smart Home. The tenant moves in, scans a single QR code with his Apple Home or any other Matter compatible App, and can take control of everything.

Tired of Slow DALI Configuration Software?
Want to control your DALI lights via Matter in apps like Apple Home or Home Assistant? Traditionally, setting up a DALI system required external software like Tridonic masterConfigurator or Lunatone DALI Cockpit. These tools are often:
- Windows-only
- Slow to load
- Dependent on separate USB hardware (e.g., a DALI USB mouse)
You end up wired to your laptop, far from the lights you’re programming, and just generally frustrated. We have a better way!
With Atios SmartCore, a full DALI configurator is now integrated directly into the web interface. No legacy Windows-only software. No separate USB dongle. No config files to get lost between electricians. Everything — from commissioning to Matter control — is done on one device.
New Feature: Built-In DALI Configurator
Update your Atios SmartCore to the most recent firmware that introduces a fully integrated DALI Configurator into the web UI! This feature expands SmartCore’s capabilities even further, ideal for both residential and commercial projects, whether you’re running a full DALI setup or a hybrid system with conventional loads.

Getting Started
Before you begin, ensure that at least one DALI light is connected to the DALI Bus terminal on your Atios SmartCore and that the DALI Bus is powered. You have two options:
- Internal Power Supply: Activate it in the settings menu.
- External DALI Power Supply: If using an external power source, make sure to deactivate the internal one.

The Simplest DALI Configurator Yet
With the update installed, you’ll notice a new DALI Configurator section in the sidebar. This interface replaces the legacy Windows-only software, providing a streamlined web-based approach to DALI commissioning.
- Click DALI Wizard to discover connected DALI lights.
- The interface will populate with DALI devices, which can be turned on/off for quick testing.
- Use the Broadcast button to check if all lights respond correctly.
- Assign names and adjust fading time settings per light. Hit Write after making changes to save settings
- To control multiple DALI downlights together without delays, group them into DALI groups (up to 16 supported)
- Use SAVE PROJECT to store the list of DALI devices and settings like names locally on the Atios SmartCore
Final Setup: Controlling Lights via Matter
Once your DALI lights andgroups are configured, head over to the Accessory Manager to integrate them into your platform of choice:
- Press the (+) Symbol
- Select DALI Light in the popup window
- Name the DALI Light according to what you want it displayed in Matter apps
- Under Output select for example address A1 that was just configured via the embedded DALI Configurator
- Optional Inputs: Connect a conventional push-button, switch, or motion detector to one of the 12 built-in inputs, and select it under Inputs to control the DALI light without an App.
- Optional Inputs (DALI-2): A DALI-2 push button or button coupler can be used to control the DALI Light.
- Press SAVE CONFIGURATION to store the changed list of accessories to Atios SmartCore's internal storage. Reboot Atios SmartCore to load the changes.
- Select System in the sidebar and use the Matter QR code to pair Atios SmartCore to any Matter compatible platform of your choice, such as Apple Home, Google Home, Home Assistant or Samsung SmartThings.
Need Expert-Level DALI-2 Settings?
For advanced DALI-2 commands not yet exposed in the embedded Configurator, enable DALI IP Interface under System. Then:
- Download Lunatone DALI Cockpit (free)
- Add a DALI Bus Interface → "Lunatone DALI IoT Device"
- Your Atios SmartCore will appear as a device on your local network
From there, you can run full DALI-2 diagnostics and config via Cockpit — without losing the simplicity of the main SmartCore platform.
