How to update your Atios KNX Bridge from using KNXprod v0.5 to v1.0

With the release of firmware v2.6.0, Atios KNX Bridge now officially supports its full KNX-DALI Gateway functionality. This means you can now use a single Atios KNX Bridge as a:

  1. Matter Bridge – to control your KNX or DALI devices through Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, or Home Assistant
  2. KNX IP Interface – to program your KNX installation directly via ETS
  3. KNX-DALI Gateway – to integrate and control your DALI lighting within KNX

If you previously used the KNX-DALI Gateway in a project based on the beta firmware and KNXprod v0.5, you must update your ETS database to KNXprod v1.0 before programming new changes from ETS.

Why this update is necessary

The new KNX Application v1.0 introduces structural improvements required for KNXsecure. Because of these internal changes, ETS cannot automatically upgrade projects using v0.5, the migration needs to be done manually. We decided to implement this change now to ensure a smooth transition for upcoming KNXsecure compatibility.

Preparation via Webinterface

  1. Access the web interface of your Atios KNX Bridge in your browser.
  2. Change the firmware channel to "Stable" and update to version v2.6.0 or newer.
  3. After a successful update, click on “Version 1.0” on the settings page to activate the new KNX application.

Migration from KNXprod Legacy 0.5 to Version 1.0 in ETS

  1. Update the ETS Online Catalogue to load the latest Atios entries.
  2. Open your ETS project and park your existing Atios KNX Bridge (legacy v0.5) in the topology using a right-click.
     • Tip: Note down the physical address before doing this.
  3. From the ETS Catalogue, add the new Atios KNX Bridge v1.0 to your topology and assign it the same physical address as before.
  4. Manually reassign all group addresses and reapply your settings from version 0.5 to 1.0. We apologize for the extra work this step requires!
  5. Once done, right-click the device and select Download → Download Application to program your Atios KNX Bridge.

That’s it — your device is now fully migrated to KNXprod v1.0.

What has improved now

  • The ETS database now includes detailed functional descriptions
  • The IP Interface functionality remembers used tunnel addresses, preventing repeated dialogue prompts
  • Your Atios KNX Bridge is now ready for KNXsecure in a future update!
